Really good fun for my 7 year old, looking at all the trains and other very well build model attractions tions in the big layout.
The fabulous architecture make this cathedral is stunning. Recommended to visit if you are in Le MansAn excellent cathedral, with plenty of information available in English (which is unusual for France). The Cathedral of Le Mans is a wonderful visit. It gives a look back into times especially with regards to different building styles. The choir was upgraded to a gothic times enormously sized building, but when it was time for the nave money ran out. This allows you to in real time observe the differences in a couple hundred years of medieval building technology.
Suitable for all ages, its a place I would return too. Not very well known, this little castle is a hidden gem located at the bottom of a hill in the Orne county. Its architectural features are as exquisite as its internal decor. The garden and the pound around the castle are also very charming. I recommend a visit! Beautiful place! Car park was empty.
Also, loved the zip wire and a ride on the little train. Definitely worth a visit. Perfect spot for children of all ages. The miniature train set up is amazing, built over the last 50 years. The children loved being able to stand on the railing to really see all the detail. A ride on the train was next then some jumping on the inflatable train. Non stop action.

We walked the stunning grounds which are open to public and sat on the picnic benches. You can pay to go inside at certain times during the day aswell. Nice architecture, gardens mainly laid out to lawn, tour was ok, most of the signs were translated into English apart from the art installation signs. The art will change round but we saw a great modern interpretation of lace making in plastic light conducting fibres. Many varieties of apple and pear trees in the walled garden. The gate house is spectacular and the chateau is really worth a visit. Most areas are accessible free of charge. If you have children take bread for the fish in the moat.
We enjoyed delicious afternoon tea as well. Highly recommend a visit. Ok but not for model rail enthusiasts. We travelled some distance for this since the advertising suggested a high quality very large layout. I'm sure the flyers exaggerate the size of the layout and what's there is a very simplistic over busy, toy-like layout which you are limited to half an hour to view, much of which is in the dark (pretty lights for sure but too long not seeing much). The layout is a mix of French and German stock and is crammed full static rolling stock and locos as well as traffic jams of lorry's. There plenty of fun features to spot and button activated animations to engage the kids. All in all not terribly realistic but quite fun.

The museum ticket was €10 for adults, or a circuit ticket with Museum entry was €13. Interesting history, from fire suits to motor cars & a huge (4, 400) collection of model die cast cars. Recommend allowing a few hours to really look around and appreciate the engineering behind it. Free disabled car park and accessibility ramp outside. It's quiet right now due to Covid, (so that's quite nice! ) Clean and safe environment. Cars are beautiful! The shop is a little on the expensive side, but good selection. See photos! Nicely revamped since my last visit, about ten years ago.
